Museum Master Gala
The Event: The 29th annual Master Circle Dinner was served at the Columbus Museum on December 4, 2017. Each year, the Master Circle Dinner is held to honor the highest patrons of the Museum Center.
The Highlights: Dinner Chair Dusty Wellborn and Co-chair Lulie Wallace were responsible for this year’s theme- Whimsical West, and the dinner featured tablescapes from some of Columbus’ most innovative designers. Guests enjoyed musical selections by a quartet from the Columbus Symphony during the cocktail hour. A welcome and invocation were given by museum director Marianne Richter. Dinner was served by Jamie Keating Culinary. The night ended with closing remarks by Carolynn Obleton, President of the Board of Trustees, and a surprise proclamation presented by Mayor Theresa Tomlinson to Bobby Hecht recognizing him for his long-time commitment to Columbus and his recent retirement from the Muscogee County School District.
The Museum: The Columbus Museum is central to learning and enjoyment. Through an educational approach the Museum strives to ignite creativity, inspire critical thinking, and spark conversation.
