THE EVENT: Micah’s Promise held their 2nd Annual Summer Supper on Thursday, June 16th at the Wynn House. It was a beautiful evening filled with hope and joy. Music was provided by the Chattahoochee Pine Beetles with delicious food catered by the Wynn House. This year’s event was sponsored by Hughston Clinic. Executive Director, Bobbi Starr and former board chair, Elizabeth Glass gave a moving speech about why it is important to protect our community’s children.

THEIR PURPOSE: Micah’s Promise exists to “act justly, love mercily, and walk humbly” in their mission to restore stolen childhoods. They work with and in their local community to educate on the risks and prevention of domestic minor sex trafficking (DMST). Their goal is to provide an environment for transformational life change to survivors of DMST and to build a supportive community for reintegration. At this time, Micah’s Promise is in the construction phase of their Girl’s Therapeutic Treatment facility where they will serve female survivors of DMST, ages 12-17.
