When decorating with orange, you automatically create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Orange is the perfect color to use in a living room or family room, as it promotes conversation and togetherness. It is also an excellent choice for a children's bedroom, as it is cheerful and energizing. In addition, orange is known to stimulate the appetite, making it an ideal choice for the kitchen or dining room.

When decorating with orange the key to success is knowing how much to use and when to use it, as it can be a very dominating shade. For those confident with color, using orange wall-to-wall can create a bold fall color scheme that can work year-round; or for a more subtle approach, consider introducing the shade as an accent color and using it across furniture, window treatments, textiles and accessories to punctuate an existing scheme.

Decorating with orange doesn’t just apply to indoor spaces. Orange can transform a patio or balcony into a tropical oasis fit for fall staycations. Give your container garden a revamp with a vibrant orange planter and update your outdoor dining space with orange-colored chairs or a side table. For a small update, a couple of bright orange throw pillows can help refresh your outdoor seating area for summer. Come fall and spring you can easily switch out summer-colored throws for burnt orange in autumn and apricot or peach in spring.
