A couple of advertising executives treated some 300 guests to decadent home- made party food in Atlanta in the early 90’s, on every Super Bowl Sunday. The first dishes to disappear, year after year, were the platters of flavored wings served alongside homemade blue cheese dressing. No big surprise, re- ally, for old family recipes that were unlike anything food-loving crowds had tasted at the time.

As the restaurant has grown into a multi-unit company, and the company into a much-loved wings franchise, Wild Wing Cafe stayed true to their roots. While other restaurants are content to use pre-processed frozen foods reheated in microwaves, every Wild Wing Cafe serves great homemade food, dressings, marinades, soups, dips are made fresh every day. Many restaurant chains love to throw out buzzwords like “fresh” and “homemade,” but at Wild Wing Cafe it’s real. Their chicken has never been frozen.

Their sauces are made daily, as are their batters and trademark dressings. Some of them, like the made-from-scratch blue cheese dressing based on an old family recipe, just can’t be recreated in a pre-packaged version. Their menu is extensive and some of their signature dishes are the White Chicken Chili – have a cup as a starter or a bowl as a meal; Baja Fish Tacos – ask your server to go easy on the cheese and sauce; Oriental Chicken Bowl – available in a half-size, too, so you can go extra light!; Roasted Chicken Dinner –choose two healthy sides and you’re good to go.; The Big Baker – ask for your top- pings on the side, or better yet: top your spud with tangy salsa.
