THE EVENT: Joe McClure celebrated the release of his second CD - “Life Happens” - on Friday, July 29, 2016 with a Release Party at the McClure Theatre at the Springer in Columbus, Georgia. Joe put posters all over town at his favorite spots inviting everyone to attend and over 100 friends and family were there. From 6:30-7:30 attendees enjoyed food provided by Joe and Gail McClure with a cash bar in the lobby of the “Dot”, as the theatre is affectionately known after Joe’s mother, Dorothy “Dot” McClure.
THE ENTERTAINMENT: The CD includes 12 songs either written by Joe or with Joe and collaboration from friends. Joe and the band and backup singers, who are all close friends, performed all 12 songs. Joe’s grandson, Landon Thor, joined him on stage to sing “Waffle House Love” with his grandfather. It was a touching night filled with great songs and good friends.
