BANKS FOOD HALL
Molded out of the historic Banks Building on Bay Avenue, across from the splash pad and playground and on the banks of the Chattahoochee River, Banks Food Hall was designed to respect the local tradition of maintaining historical industrial architecture while integrating modern conveniences.

JEREMIAH’S ITALIAN ICE
Founded in 1996 and franchising since 2019, Jeremiah’s Italian Ice has come to be known not only for its superior frozen treats, but also its outstanding customer service and its community image that exudes the Jeremiah’s motto - Live life to the coolest.
Each Jeremiah’s location boasts an upbeat atmosphere full of vibrant colors and offers over 40 flavors of indulgent high-quality Italian Ice, as well as rich and creamy Soft Ice Cream. The Jeremiah’s Gelati, which features layers of Italian Ice swirled with thick, homemade Soft Ice Cream offers nearly limitless flavor combinations and is the star of their menu.
This location is the first of three Jeremiah’s locations set to open in the Columbus area. The brand is excited to become a vendor in the Banks Food Hall because it is a great way to introduce Jeremiah’s to those who are not yet familiar with the Florida-founded concept.
“While Jeremiah’s wasn’t a brand we were previously familiar with here in the Columbus area,” said Dalton Pippins, who will be managing the new location, “it is really well-loved in its home state and after getting to know the brand and trying the product, I understand why. It’s delicious and has such a vibrant and fun atmosphere. We are excited to bring that same energy and the Jeremiah’s culture to Georgia for the very first time and to introduce local residents to the brand.”
Throughout the pandemic, the brand has placed their focus on maintaining the health and safety of its employees and customers at all times. The new location will open with stringent safety protocols and additional operational procedures in place to ensure social distancing and the safety of its staff and guests.
EL PRIMO TAQUERIA
“We chose Banks because we love the location based on the fact that we wanted to share fresh good food on the go. Unlike fast food, we bring to you real authentic Mexican food that you would find on a everyday Mexican table. We love to see tourists and locals have a grab-n-go taco or grab-n-go burrito." El Primo offers authentic Mexican cuisine from nachos, tacos, and even wings! - Melissa Ramos, Owner.
POKE SUN
Poke Sun is the first of its kind in the Columbus area. We want to provide customers with a quick and easy alternative to eating while maintaining a fresh and healthy experience. We use nothing but the highest quality fish along with fresh produce to give each customer the ultimate "Poke" Experience. We decided to open in Banks Food Hall because we saw it as a great opportunity. We are happy to be part of the growth in Downtown Columbus, and we are excited for the future of Poke Sun and Banks Food Hall. Suntu Kim, Owner.
THE BAKE SHOP
Edy attended pastry classes in Chicago, and anyone who has enjoyed her baking creativity at Fountain City would understand why we have always wanted to expand on that. When WC Bradley presented us with the opportunity for our second location in Banks Food Hall, we were thrilled to make this dream a reality. We have thoroughly enjoyed collaborating as a family for this new venture.
While each location has its own unique menu, Jud roasts the coffee for both locations just a couple blocks away which seamlessly unifies the two locations. Will and I have become the official taste testers and have gladly thrown ourselves into this new role! We had such a fun time designing the new location and have been so overwhelmed with the response of our customers and look forward to serving delicious pastries to all of Columbus.- Libba Dillon, Owner.
MALTITWO’D
“Maltitude opened 7 years ago on Broadway as Columbus’s first craft beer focused shop and growler store. We’ve been fortunate to witness and be part of the continued growth both on and off Broadway, and when we heard about the development at Banks, there was no way we could miss out on the opportunity to be involved. We’re so excited to be one of the vendors at Banks, and we love that we will be in front of so many people coming off of the river, or visiting Columbus’s first food hall for the first time!”
Because we’re pretty into puns, we call Maltitude at Banks MaltiTWO’d . We will launch with 12 taps with the ability to expand to 20 and will be open 7 days a week. We will have canned beer, canned and bottled wine, seltzers, and ciders, and crowlers both here and to-go. Look out for frozens in the near future!
Check out Maltitude at 1031 Broadway for even more options for drink in.
